COURSE DESCRIPTION
ACLS
The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, early and continuous high-quality CPR, and high-performing teams. The course reflects science and education from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). .
REGISTERPALS
This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes
REGISTERPEARS
The AHA’s PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) Course has been updated to reflect science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. In this classroom-based, Instructor-led course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency situation. .
REGISTERBLS
The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. .
REGISTERHEARTSAVER® FIRST AID + CPR & AED
Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
REGISTERBLOOD BORNE PATHOGEN
This classroom course, led by an AHA Instructor or Facilitator, teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. .
REGISTEREKG INTERPRETATION (BART)
Essential ECG features are explained along with step-by-step analysis and techniques. This includes rhythm evaluation, determining heart rate and assessing multiple components of the EKG waveform and pharmacology. This comprehensive course will give you the knowledge and confidence to quickly evaluate and interact with your patients. Though this is a complex subject, our instructors will help you understand each segment from the ground up, making it easy for you to interpret the rhythms no matter what the EKG shows.
